Strike #43

Enjoy! :)

Changing My Wardrobe
by Deb Hanrahan

Toate acestea le puteţi simţi citind ‚Changing My Wardrobe’ scrisă de Deb Hanrahan.

Câteva citate care mi-au plăcut:
·               As we walked, I noticed several numbers written on the back of Teeny’s hand. ’What’s that?’
Teeny held her hand up so I could better see the writing. ’My locker combination. I’m having trouble memorizing it.’
·               Trying to lighten his sister’s mood, he grabbed both of our hands and proceeded te squeal and junp up and down. Teeny and I followed his example. Soon, all three of us were cracking up, as were zje other girls waiting to see the list.
’Did all of you make cheerleading?’
·               ’After having met you, my whole life changed has changed. I have friends now, and I even have a boyfriend. It’s all because you were brave enough to take a chance and sit next to the weird girl.’
·               ’You never like new people. You have to learn to roll with it. Life is change, and change is good. Life would be boring without change.’
·               I could hear his heart beating. After a couple of minutes, Marco’s heart started to beat louder and faster. It was weird. I wanted to say something, but Marco spoke first.

Nota:

English:

First of all, I have to tell you that you’ll love this story from the very first page.
You’ll have fun with Teeny and Grouper, you’ll tottaly freak out when you’ll meat Jocelyn, you’ll melt away when you’ll see Marco, you’ll wish you could beat up Avery, but, most sure, you’ll live the feelings of a young teenager that’s at the begining of a new stage in her life. A beautiful stage filled with good and bad moments. You’ll feel the chills of first love, you’ll see the power of friendship, the pain of losing the loved ones and the pain caused by betrayel and malice.
The best way to describe this book is by comparing it to a montagne russe ride: at first you like it, then you get to a point where you’re scared and you want to go back on safe land, but you can’t and you stay untill the end of it. And although you wet your pants and your soul trembles, at the end you realise that you loved it. That joy that warmes up your heart, that adrenaline that pumps through your blood, that sweet pain that shatters your heart into tinny peaces.
There’s no way you can’t fall in love with the writting style of the author. The story is easy to read and it all seams so true that you might think that at one point this is about your life. You could feel at a moment the insecurity of Lindsey, the pain of Marco, the feelings of Grouper, the respect that Jocelyn feels for her friend, and the strong desire of Teeny.
You can feel all of these sensations by reading ’Changing My Wardrobe’ by Deb Hanrahan.

Mark:
4 out of 5.
Why?
Because my heart is shattered in tiny little peaces. That’s why it deserves 5 , because it had this effect on me, but my heart doesn’t let me.
